“El Carretas”, alleged leader of gangs dedicated to fuel theft in Puebla and Tlaxcala, is arrested

PUEBLA, Pue. (apro).- The State Attorney General's Office, in collaboration with the National Defense Secretariat and the State Public Security Secretariat, arrested Enrique “N” alias “El Carretas”, identified as the leader of criminal groups dedicated to fuel theft in the border area of Puebla and Tlaxcala.
The Prosecutor's Office indicated that "El Carretas" is also linked to acts of violence and cargo truck robberies in the Río Frío–San Martín Texmelucan section, and to extortion and protection rackets in the municipalities of San Martín Texmelucan, Santa Rita Tlahuapan, San Matías Tlalancaleca, Españita, Benito Juárez and areas bordering Tlaxcala.
According to local media reports, the detainee leads the fuel theft and illegal fuel theft in those towns, and is allegedly linked to various acts of violence and executions that have occurred recently.
One of those events is the murder of four people at a party in San Luis Coyotzingo, municipality of Huejotzingo, on October 11, when an armed commando burst into the place and asked for two people, among them for “El Carretas”.
